GIVEBIG BEGINS!

Over the summer, our drum instructor Henry Rodriguez worked on a special duet with his student Matt. We want to share the music with you now, so that you in turn will share with someone else. This video is just a taste of what we do to develop passionate musicians here at Fender® Center for the Performing Arts.

While you probably know that Kids Rock Free® is a low cost music school, what you may not know is that we also offer scholarships to families with a financial need.

This November, help us keep sharing the music with the kids in our community. November 13 is GiveBig Day. Every $10 donation given will go to our Kids Rock Free program and help us qualify for additional gifts that will provide more access to music ed.

Give BIG Riverside County is a 24-hour web-a-thon that raises much needed funds for local nonprofits. Over the past three years, local Give BIG events raised over $1.4 million dollars for Riverside and San Bernardino County charities improving the lives of local residents!

Casey Abrams Performs Benefit Concert at Fender Center

Casey Abrams is a locally and internationally acclaimed singer and songwriter.  The American Idol Season 10 troubadour who impressed audiences with his mastery of instruments, most notably the stand-up bass, is a perfect performer to present at the Fender Center for the Performing Arts  on Sept. 20, 2014 to help support our Kids Rock Free® School of Music, said Pam Hogan, director.

Fender Center is pleased to celebrate this musician on the rise and his generosity.  Casey’s hard work toward becoming a legend in today’s music culture is a tremendous influence on the kids studying at Kids Rock Free.  Abrams was recently quoted in The Hollywood Reporter saying, “I think the key to having a good show is being super duper happy – you smile and they’ll smile.  It’s the secret of life and music – don’t be afraid to show your happiness.” Casey’s music talent breeds happiness and there is nowhere better to see him than at the 250-seat Rhythm Lounge.
